Support Groups

You can help the Brooks continue its important work in many ways. Whether you become a docent, help with a mailing or special event, or spend an hour or two working in the Museum Store, your contribution will make a difference.

Brooks Museum League

The Brooks Museum League is the oldest volunteer organization of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. This dynamic organization offers a variety of volunteer activities, depending on a person’s particular talents, interests, and time schedule. Membership in Brooks Museum League provides many educational and social opportunities.

Decorative Arts Trust (DAT)

Decorative Arts Trust (DAT) is the most recent Brooks support group, founded in 1980. This active group exists to support the Brooks in the area of decorative arts. It fills this mission through education programs and the acquisition of decorative arts for the collection. Each year its members sponsor a series of gallery talks, lectures by eminent scholars and speakers, and special events (such as fundraisers and appraisal days). DAT has made a series of significant contributions to the collection.
