Christian Siriano isn't the sole LGBTQ icon forged by the art and culture of Baltimore. The city is also home to one of the most audaciously subversive figures of the 20th century: director, actor, and author John Waters, whose name has been synonymous with Charm City since 1946. Beyond their shared birthplace, Siriano and Waters share more similarities. Although Siriano was just a toddler when Waters' groundbreaking desegregation comedy first premiered, one can easily envision Siriano celebrating diversity, inclusion and positivity on “The Corny Collins Show,” and his gloriously over-the-top designs fitting seamlessly into the racks at Hefty Hideaway. As Tracy Turnblad famously declared, "Let's Dance!"
